I think collectors are born, not made.
I have always had collections. When I was a kid – it was free stuff – rocks – driftwood – bugs – feathers – I even kept all my baby teeth!
Some collections fall out of favor with me and away they go.
Goodbye salt and pepper collection – (except for white range-top ones) – Goodbye Black Americana – Goodbye Arts and Crafts pottery…
I still collect some things.
Not all things anymore.
Cathrineholm is the name of a now defunct Norwegian company and my favorite pattern is the lotus pattern manufactured in the 1960’s.
Nice, eh?
Note that as a natural born collector, I can honestly say that too much is really not enough…
They look so pretty together in a lotus garden sort of way.
Did I mention that I LOVE a bargain?
I have been collecting on the cheap so long that it just feels natural.
OMG – just LOOK at the price tag on that one!
I almost cried when that thrift store moved out of town!
I got my Subzero fridge there for $159.99
Really!
